The Asia Conference opportunity
In the year 2004, I heard a word from my friend about CHCSG. Watched them for the first time online (www.chc.org.sg) and always wanted to go there, but time and resources were the main obstacles faced as I’m still persuing my Diploma and Degree in Computing Science, there is no way I’m gonna’ have the money and long holiday to be there, not forgetting the passport that cost RM300.
Almost every week, using microphone to record the sermons mainly by Ps. Kong Hee, was amazed and find many revelations that really touch my heart. In the year 2008, after God’s faithfulness, I get the opportunity to hear about City Harvest KL. My best friend happened to attend the church there, as a result I have the opportunity to pay my first step visit to City Harvest, though it’s not Singapore it has already enough to take my breath away. The lighting, the environment, the people and most important of all, the presence of God was very strong. I became addicted to the presence, and from Penang to KL, I visit almost once every month.
I remember the prayer meeting from CHCKL was one of the most phenomenal one, during that time Ps. Kevin was first to announce about Asia Conference, but to be kept secretly for members first. As I was not the member there still, I was given the good news once I reach KL. It was so unrealistic but real, it was the spark of knowing about the opportunity that I am going to CHCSG!
Even that time, faith was so assured in me that no matter what I’m going there. I never thought that I could have two weeks off day in November, I thought that I might not have enough coverage or leave for me to take for that event. It is just so miracle and arranged devinely, and is no regular opportunity, but as if God has changed our disappointment to a new appointment. Faith is the substance of knowing and knowing in the inside of us that it is true, though our eyes and understandings sees not.
During the steped in of Hall 8, it is as if I was in my dream, nothing has ever been so real in my life. This was the first time I get to face to face with the real ‘online church’ that I attend regularly online. I am so greatful and overjoyed, as the anticipating moments had come planned since Febuary, 2008, the most annointed prayer meeting that I still listen to it from time to time (which was recorded)
I would dearly testify that it is not by works of man, but by the works of God. I get to pay some major visit such as Ps. Kong Hee’s conference on May, Emerge on August and most assuredly Asia Conference on November! After for so long, I get to face to face witness Pastor Kong’s sermon, praise and worship fresh from God’s presence lead by CHCSG worship team! hallalujah God indeed knows our hearts desire!
I want to encourage all of you, if you prayed for something and it has not happen, yes it is not happened yet, just that God is preparing it. God will always grant you the very desires of your heart according to his purposes and promises in His word. It is really impossible with our own strength, but with strength from above, it is always possible.
1.) All we have belongs to God, we are steward of what is entrusted to us according to our own ability.
2.) There is no shortcut, deligence and excellence brings us reward, and promotion comes from the Lord.
3.) Put God first and he will take care of our worried needs.
4.) It is more blessed to give than to receive. Be generous in our giving with right motives.
5.) Though difficulties strikes us, we must never put our focus away from strength above.
6.) Be creative, excellent and deligent in all we do.
